In August 2005, the US Sailing Safety at Sea Committee organised a group of boats and people to test out Man Overboard techniques and equipment in what is arguably the most significant symposium of its kind ever conducted for boating. Ouzo Accident Report
This report describes the circumstances surrounding the deaths of 3 men aboard the yacht Ouzo which disappeared without a trace on the south coast of England. It concluded that the yacht sank as the result of a collision with or swamping by a ferry and contains useful recommendations about avoiding such events.

Safety Videos
This is an excellent set of short videos demonstrating various safety techniques such as man-overboard procedures (including with kite), hoisting and sailing with storm sails, deploying liferafts, maintaining your PFD. You'll be asked to register with your email address before you can view the videos, but you can unregister straight away afterwards and they're well worth the effort
