SV Cartref in the Tamar
Doug and Mary Barber have arrived in the Tamar river in Northern Tasmania
We have been on a non stop roll since departing Hobart around a month ago and have until recently been in and around Maria Island region with much to see and do. Because we are now
on a deadline for New Zealand to see our Daughter for Christmas as had to
pull our finger out and head up the coast an around the corner to the Tamar River river enroute to Launceston. We arrived in the Tamar a couple of days ago and will head upstream tomorrow now that we have rested from the long run we have just done. One thing is for sure. Never underestimate the weather in the roaring fourties and Bass Strait. A deadly combination if you get it wrong.
