News of FSC Cruisers and friends who are out there doing it! I receive regular updates from a number of FSC members and friends and I will post them here as I receive them. Cockatoo II - Paul and Tracy Bushell

Cockatoo II departed FSC for Quindalup in December 2004 and just kept going!

SV Cartref - Doug and Mary Barber

Doug and Mary departed FSC in early 2005, heading south then east across the bight

Hawk - Beth and Evans StarZinger

Beth and Evans - legendary circumnavigators who wintered at our club 2003 after sailing non-stop from Tierra Del Fuego (8,000 nautical miles). They write extensively for yachting magazines, and Beth has several books about blue-water sailing to her credit.

Caroline and Bill Porter

Bill and Caroline Porter, with their yacht "Periwinkle", were active members of the Cruising Section for some years before taking a year off to go sailing along our west coast. Their boat has now found a new owner and they are living in Dubai, saving up for "Periwinkle II".

Dreamcatcher - Glen and Henry Taylor

Glenys grew up in Perth and met Henry in the USA from whence they started their worldwide voyage in Dreamcatcher

Cowrie Dancer - Dale & Liz Peterson

 

Elevation - Paul and Jill Carter

Following a childhood dream, Paul and Jill have sold up their home and moved aboard their newly-built Buizin 48 "Elevation". Their first voyage is to return Elevation from her birthplace in Pittwater, NSW to Fremantle.

SV Pampero - Gus & Gabby Lockhart

Gus & Gabby left Fremantle Sailing Club on their big cruise adventure in March 2007, heading straight across the Great Australian Bight

Mendana - Peter and Lorraine Colman

Peter and Lorraine departed FSC in early 2005, crossing the Bight and spending the next little while cruising the south-east corner of Oz.

Max and Jenny Van Doornum

Max and Jenny Van Doornum have recently sold their yacht "Momentum" to concentrate on pressing domestic issues for a year or so.

White Cloud - James and Val Searle

White Cloud has already done one circuit of the Indian Ocean under previous owners (see the book "Slow Travel"), now her current owners, James and Val Searle are off on their own adventure.

Lazy Susan - Ron and Donna Wyndow

Ron and Donna have headed off northwards from Freo in their 11m Schionning Cat.
