A longer cruise, well worth the effortAbrolhos Sundowner on Yandanooka

Ask anyone who went last year, a trip to the Abrolhos is well worth the effort involved in getting there. Wonderful fishing (not another Baldchin Groper!), pristine snorkelling, history, wildlife. Think too of the satisfaction of having made a 400NM round trip up our spectacular coastline. We've had substantial expressions of interest in this year's cruise, so if you've not been before, give it a go! There'll be plenty of veterans to provide advice and a helping hand.

How to get there?

You have plenty of choice of course, but the main options are non-stop (depending on weather/boatspeed, usually a 36-48hr sail), or if you value your sleep, day-hopping, eg Two Rocks, Jurien, Port Denison, Abrolhos. The conventional wisdom is to arrive at the Abrolhos by 10am so you have plenty of time to locate a nice anchorage/mooring with the overhead sun making the coral bombies easier to spot.

What do you do there?

Lots of stuff! Take a look at Ralph and Lynne's photos from Yandanooka's voyage, read Will and Trish's blog.

Where do I sign?

Toodle over to the online Registration form and fill out the details. Registration is not binding of course, so if you're thinking you might go, sign up anyway.

Don't forget to come to the Briefing night on Thursday 17 April at 6pm sharp.
